Enid, OK: Market Report for December 13, 2005

Well, the year 2005 is coming to a close and it has been quite a year! Next week in Enid will be the last chance to sell cattle this year! The market is great all the way around, and it sure looks like a good time to be selling cattle! Calves and feeders still bringing over $100.00 with good bred cows still selling for over $1000.00!

We certainly hope that the next few weeks will bring a little moisture to our area. The last two months has been somewhat windy and dry, and the wheat pasture is taking a toll. Even so, the cattle that are turned out now seem to be doing fairly well, with sickness and death loss about 180 degrees of where it was last year.

There is going to be some great opportunities coming up in the next few months! Our internet and video capabilities are going to be a great advantage to both buyers and sellers at Winter Livestock! The chances to market or procure cattle are becoming quicker and easier every day. Call any of our offices to find out how we can serve you!

Enid, OK: Market Report for Dec. 6, 2005

Maybe winter is finally here! The big cold front coming from the north sure seems to have gotten everybody spooked. Calves and yearlings alike looked lower this week, with bred cows and heifers following suit. Surprisingly, this storm was only supposed to last a day at most in our area. It looks like opportunity is knocking on the door.
What should we be turning out this winter, $700.00 calves or $1000.00 bred cows? It seems to me that a person might be able to buy the factory for just a little more than the product! Even with a colder and drier year so far, there is still a lot of forage available in Oklahoma. Take advantage of it!

This might be a good time to take advantage of our internet capabilities! With the holiday season, and snow around the country, a person can sit in the warmth and comfort of home and buy calves, cows or yearlings at any one of our auctions! This is a great and easy way to market cattle and to procure cattle! If you have any questions or needs along those lines, don’t hesitate to give us a call, we’re here to work for you!

If you are already thinking about selling your wheat pasture cattle, give us an opportunity to help you! We can help you contract, hedge, feed, or market your cattle! The future looks bright, let Winter Livestock help you get the most for your dollar!
