1722 CATTLE SOLD WEDNESDAY, MAY 17, 2005 The market continues to hold strong! Yearling cattle still seeing very strong demand from all areas. The wheat run is about over, and there are still not enough cattle around for the big demand! Just look at the dollars per head some of these big cattle are bringing! It still goes back to supply and demand. We have a tremendous market, even without selling beef to the Japanese! Our wheat harvest may be starting up in a couple of weeks! The last rain we had helped a lot, but these hot, windy days sure mature the wheat and grass fast! It appears like some of the July cattle could move early in our area. We should see another great run of yearlings next week, and a real nice run of pairs, bred cows and bred heifers for our monthly special! There are already over 200 cows consigned for the end of the month, as well as one consignment of 500 heifers for the sale next week! Enid, OK: Market Report for May 10, 2005

It’s amazing how active our market is. We had a lighter run this week, but a bigger demand! Yearling cattle heading out to five different states! The demand for stockers and feeders is tremendous. The graze out run is all but over, while the grass run may be starting already. Dry conditions have continued right in our immediate area, with over a month without any significant rainfall. This has sure started the wheat to turn, and it looks like many of the July cattle could start moving in the next 30 days. We should see several cattle over the next few weeks, both graze wheat cattle and early grass cattle. It sure looks like the demand is going to be great for your cattle! We’re going into a summer run in late spring! Bring your cattle to the auction, it’s a great market! 1515 CATTLE SOLD TUESDAY, MAY 3, 2005 The overall cattle market continues to hold strong! Calves and yearlings are still in great demand! It looks like the graze out wheat cattle are coming early, and in two weeks, the run will be over. Lots of demand for grazing cattle and feeding cattle! Our market is setting records all the time, with some calves off the cow bringing over $700.00 a head! We used to think that was a tremendous price for a yearling! It makes a person wonder where it’s all heading. Supply and demand are working for the cow/calf operator at this time. It’s a sellers market! These prices sure make a bred cow or pair look like a great buy. How do you compare an $800.00 stocker to turn out with a $1000.00 young bred cow? I always thought it was a good deal when you could buy two for one! You hear about $1600.00 pairs, and it sounds awful high, but how high are $800.00 calves? We should all enjoy this market while we can! Come visit us here in Enid! We have great people, a great facility and lots of room for your cattle! We are here to work for you and take care of your cattle! You can watch the sale on the internet, or come in person. Either way, we look forward to serving you! Calves this week bringing from $120.00 to $150.00, with fly weights to $190.00. Stocker cattle selling from $115.00 to $125.00 and feeder cattle from $100.00 to $120.00. Butcher cows up to $68.00 on the high yielding kind, with the bulk of the cows from $52.00 to $58.00. Bulls bringing up to $78.00. A few pairs and bred cows up to $1325.00. We should have excellent runs for the next two weeks. There will be 100 fancy replacement heifers here next week: all one raising, no implants, gtd open, and ready to go! There will also be lots of graze out wheat cattle too! Thank You! Weston Winter
