2667 CATTLE SOLD TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2005

Thank you to all of our consignors! We had another excellent run of high quality calves and yearlings this week. It looks like most of the cattle in this area will move in the next two weeks. Whether or not the Canadian border opens, a lot of cattle will move before the 7th of March. The market is still very good! These cattle are bringing $20.00/cwt or more better than the last 50 year average!

Winter Livestock in Enid the place to bring your cattle! We sold 2700 cattle for 109 consignors before 5:30 pm! Nobody waited at the dock, and all the cattle had hay and water! We have hay and water available in every pen, 12 docks to load and unload cattle, and enough bunk and pen space for over 8,000 cattle! If you want your cattle taken care of like you would, bring them to Winter Livestock!

To maximize you marketing potential, call our office at 580-796-2150 with your consignments so that we can advertise them for you, free of charge! Our docks are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! The auction will begin at 10:00 am for the rest of the season. Cows and bulls sell first, with the bunches selling at 1:00 pm. At Enid this week:

Enid, OK: Market Report for February 1, 2005

The market is still good! We had another great sale here in Enid this week. Receipts pretty light this week with an abundance of rain and snow. The wheat pasture run should be coming on at any time, provided we can get them out of the mud! Gains so far have been better than expected, with some cattle still doing two pounds a day or better. The month of January, with all the cold and ice, did take its toll.

With all the moisture we’ve had, spring grass should be excellent! Lots of areas that were in a drought a year ago are looking very good right now and bred cows and pairs are in great demand. Young bred cows bringing $800.00 to $1100.00. Pairs bringing a little more. Calves bringing $110.00 to $135.00. Yearlings bringing $95.00 to $112.00.
